Botanical Herbarium - Set of 12 Specimens

Collection of twelve framed botanical herbarium specimens, preserving a selection of pressed plants and botanical samples individually mounted on aged paper. Each specimen has been carefully arranged and presented within a simple dark wooden frame, creating a coherent series with a refined scientific and decorative character.

Each panel features an individual dried botanical specimen, including stems, leaves, flowers and visible root systems, preserved in their natural form and composition. The delicate variations in colour, shape and structure of the plants make each composition unique, while the repetition of the format creates a harmonious visual ensemble when displayed as a group.

Each framed specimen is accompanied by a small botanical label, providing information relating to the plant depicted, such as its botanical classification, type or other identifying details. The labels contribute to the character of the collection, recalling the tradition of botanical study and the careful cataloguing of plant specimens.

The collection dates from a period spanning approximately the 1970s to the 1990s, giving the individual specimens the character of a historical botanical archive. The naturally aged paper, preserved plant material and handwritten or printed annotations further enhance the sense of authenticity and give the collection an archival quality.

Presented together, the twelve works form a distinctive decorative installation that bridges botanical study, natural history and graphic composition. Their restrained presentation and neutral palette make them particularly versatile within both contemporary and more traditional interiors, whether displayed as a complete series or individually.
