Folding Tray Table

Elegant English folding campaign bench characterized by a distinctive X-frame structure entirely upholstered in soft olive-green velvet. The rich textile covering extends across the folding frame and is carefully finished with contrasting decorative braid along the edges, highlighting the geometric construction and giving the piece a refined, tailored appearance.

Particularly distinctive are the four ornamental tassel pendants positioned at the corners of the frame, each suspended from the upholstered straps. Their elaborate fringed construction and muted complementary tones add a refined decorative quality, recalling the traditional use of tassels, braids and passementerie in historic English upholstery.

The folding X-frame combines decorative elegance with practical functionality, allowing the bench to be folded flat for storage or transport. The visible metal elements and pivoting joints provide a subtle contrast to the softness of the velvet, revealing the practical campaign-inspired construction beneath the ornamental finish.

The combination of olive-green velvet, contrasting woven edging and richly detailed corner tassels gives the piece a sophisticated yet characterful appearance. Its versatile proportions make it suitable as occasional seating, a bedroom bench, dressing-room piece or decorative accent within both traditional and contemporary interiors.
